- COURSE DESCRIPTION In the context of drought and desertification, well-designed water harvesting and irrigation systems are one of the first and most important steps towards regenerating earth. With this workshop, you will learn how to restore the hydrological balance of a property using Permaculture Design methodologies and techniques, and implement them on site. Subjects: - Site Assessment & Analysis - Permaculture Design Methodology & Techniques - Ancient Water Management Technologies & Modern Research Solution - Rainwater Harvesting Earthworks, e.g. swales, pathways, water reservoirs, etc. - Soil Humidity Conservation - Plant Selection and Planting Design - COURSE LANGUAGE: English - COURSE SCHEDULE: Thursday 5-6pm: participant arrive, settle down and set up their tent. 6:30pm: introduction to the course, getting to know each-other. 7:00pm: dinner Friday 9am-5pm: course Saturday 9am-5pm: course 6:00: participant departure - KIDS CLUB: Children above 5 participate to a kids club supervised by a professional teacher while the adults are in class. Children under 5 can participate too but with a parent supervision. - ACCOMODATION: ARD's Centre is based in Taybeh Organic Farms, Wadi Rajeb, Ajloun. ARD’s accommodation is CAMPING BASED and offers specific camping sites for the participants who should bring their own tent. If you do not have a tent, ARD can provide you with a tent and mattress. 2 family rooms are available (each with 2 bunk-beds). The rooms are given in priority to families or depending on availability. - FOOD: Participants will be provided 3 meals a day (Jordanian cuisine) and 2 Tea Breaks. Cancellation Policy

In case of cancellation of the event by the organizers due to external causes (corona, extreme weather or other), the total amount of the course will be refunded. In case of last-minute cancellation from the participants (less than 72 hours before the workshop or less than a week before the PDC Course), the organizers have the right to keep as compensation fee.
