-COURSE DESCRIPTION: This intensive 2 day course will teach you everything about trees : agroforestry, food forests, orchards, woodlands, using permaculture and regenerative agriculture principles, to build self-sufficiency, resistance and mitigate the effects of climate change. We as individuals and society, can be empowered and build resilience with a good understanding and good use of trees. The course will cover subjects as: -Native Jordanian trees, Fruit and nut trees, Non-edible tree products -How to grow trees: propagation and cultivation -A technical guide to creating wooded ecosystems: how to make an orchard, how to make a woodland, how to resist desertification and local climate change with trees. -What are the good trees to grow in Amman/Jordan and the region. - COURSE LANGUAGE: English - COURSE SCHEDULE: Thursday 5-6pm: participant arrive, settle down and set up their tent. 6:30pm: introduction to the course, getting to know each-other. 7:00pm: dinner Friday 9am-5pm: course Saturday 9am-5pm: course 6:00: participant departure - ACCOMODATION: ARD's Centre is based in Taybeh Organic Farms, Wadi Rajeb, Ajloun. ARD’s accommodation is CAMPING BASED and offers specific camping sites for the participants who should bring their own tent. If you do not have a tent, ARD can provide you with a tent and mattress for an extra fee. 2 family rooms are available (each with 2 bunk-beds) for an extra fee. The rooms are given in priority to families or depending on availability. - FOOD: Participants will be provided 3 meals a day (Jordanian cuisine) and 2 Tea Breaks. - COURSE FEE: Regular: 175JD Couple discount: 300JD Ask ARD for a tent + mattress: + 10JD Reserve a family room: + 25JD To calculate your discounts and total please contact us. Cancellation Policy
In case of cancellation of the event by the organizers due to external causes (corona, extreme weather or other), the total amount of the course will be refunded. In case of last-minute cancellation from the participants (less than 72 hours before the workshop or less than a week before the PDC Course), the organizers have the right to keep as compensation fee.
